I’ve done my best to compile as much information as possible, but please note this ad is subject to change as more details about the boat come to mind.
She is currently sitting on her trailer under a custom built boat shed in Arlington Washington and the asking price is $35,000USD.
Debi Linn is plain and simple a great boat. She sails well in light wind, and holds her own in heavy weather offshore. She is heavily rigged and heavily reinforced. Her original engine was removed, shaft log plugged, aperture filled and faired, and is now powered by a 6hp Tohatsu outboard. In flat calm conditions she can motor at 5-5.5 knots while burning 1/2 of a gallon per hour. She comes with a great arsenal of sails to keep her moving in all conditions. When things gets rough she heaves-to beautifully under tripple reefed main and staysail. I am a professional Captain for a living and I feel safer on Debi Linn than I do aboard many other larger sailing vessels.
Her interior is best suited for passage making and for a physically smaller sailor or couple. I would not recommend this vessel for someone looking for a dockside liveaboard. The headroom under the main doghouse is 5’10” although I’m 6’3” and have lived aboard for the better part of 2 years with my girlfriend. Due to the location of the fwd water tight collision bulkhead: the v-berth area is now solely used for storage and the head. All accommodations are in the main cabin. She has 3 different interior modes: Passage mode, Couch mode, and Bed mode (see interior pictures ) Passage mode offers port and starboard pilot berths with Lee-cloths (both 6’3” long) Couch mode offers a couch configuration on the port side with the starboard pilot staying as is. Finally bed mode is when the couch back drops down connecting the port and starboard sides and allows you to sleep athwartship. The bed is very comfy for 1 person for this size of boat and very doable for two. Think double sized bed. The head is as simple as it gets, a tried and true sailors bucket…with a custom mahogany toilet seat ;) There is however a spot for a head should someone want to install a standard flush toilet or composting head.
